Should Christians celebrate Halloween?
When I was a child, we celebrated Halloween nominally. But, the focus was more on the candy. I did find it fascinating to walk the neighborhoods and gawk at the scary decorations on all the houses.
As a teenager, I was more interested in watching the Halloween-themed movies that were premiering on cable once the month of October started.
Where my family and I live now (Guatemala), Halloween is not nearly as celebrated as it is in the United States. So, it really hasn’t been a tough issue to navigate for us. The story is likely different for you.

In my personal opinion, I believe any holiday can be redeemed for the glory of Christ. Christmas, New Years and Easter included.
Our purpose, as Christians, is to be light and salt in this temporary world and make disciples of Christ. To me, it’s just that simple. When we filter every scenario in life through that lens our focus remains clear.
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 NIV
